A breathing exercise to help you sleep

Here’s what Terrence has to say…

“One breathing exercise that a lot of my clients say has helped them is a mindfulness exercise called the 711. This is an exercise were you breathe in for seven counts and then you breathe out for eleven counts.

It’s the longer breath out that is proven to actually relax the parasympathetic nervous system. When people wake up and they just do that very quickly,  if there is a little bit of extra cortisol or stress in the body because of the longer breath out they very naturally very quickly fall back to sleep. So 711 breathing breath in for 7 out for 11  and hopefully that helps you like it has helped a lot of my clients.”
