Why do we need to sleep?

A good nights sleep can do the wold of good, but don’t just take our word for it. Here’s Terrence The Teacher to explain why it’s important to get some shut eye.

“Sleep is that period in which the body and the mind repairs itself, so it is so important. The benefits are numerous. Physically your metabolism gets rest, your immune system gets enhanced, your heart rate comes down, your blood pressure comes down, muscles repair. Our mind has time to process everything that’s happened to us during the day in our dreams we process obviously a lot of things as well. The cognitive process in the brain gets time to heal, to form and to actually work out what’s happened to you during the day as well. Everything that happens in the sleep in the healing process is the things that make you a better person when you are awake.  “
